Vintage pre-WW2 F Dick sharpening steel in excellent condition. The arrow changed direction from facing the handle to facing away from the handle after the war, this one is in exceptionally good condition for a steel of its age. 

F Dick steels are and were some of the best European sharpening steels, tempered harder than most and able to both last a very long time and also work on harder steels more reliably.
